IT'S JUNE, and the TGE is over - bad times :(

But, we heard lots of new bands, and had an awesome time - good times. A couple of the bands that we saw have flown straight into the top 10. Bombay Bicycle Club and Freeland both rocked the Concorde 2, whilst Metric and We Were Promised Jetpacks packed out the Honey Club. Then there was Pure Reason Revolution and The Boxer Rebellion who impressed in Coalition.

But who was my top pick - it will have to be The Temper Trap. This Australian band only have released 1 single, but they were awesome. The albums not due out till July/August - but these guys are going to be huge.

Silversun Pickups return with a truely awesome album that has to be heard. Also, as if the album was not enough, the band are visiting Brighton on the 3rd July 2009 - playing Audio (nice and small venue). I highly recommend attending - especially at the meer snip of £9.50.

About This Page:

My first love (when it comes to music) is all things alternative whether it be dodgy hair metal from the eighties or the music of one of the most amazing bands in the world, the Guillemots (please check them out using the link)

So what is the main aim for this page I hear you cry. Well I am eventually going to create minimixes of everything from System of a Down to the Artic Monkeys - but that requires some new hardware first.

Until then, this page will act differently to the other pages by giving readers an insight into what is currently rocking my boat, taking all my money and hopefully introducing them to that elusive "next big thing" at a time when they can still see the band performing at a venue that only houses 600 patrons!
